Can this Commission approve my investment?

No. We are not a regulator. Approvals are decided by the relevant Liberian authority, usually the National Investment Commission. We identify the authority and make the introduction.

Can a Canadian company or individual own land in Liberia?

Pending verification

This section will state the answer to this question. It is deliberately empty. Nothing about investment law, tax incentives, licensing, land tenure, tariffs or repatriation of profits may be drafted here until it is confirmed with the National Investment Commission and recorded with a source and a verification date.

This is a frequently asked question and it must be answered accurately or not at all. The previous site answered a version of the land question incorrectly.

What incentives are available?

How quickly will you respond to my enquiry?

Every enquiry is acknowledged within two business days and assigned to a named officer. A substantive answer may take longer where it requires written confirmation from a Monrovia body; we will tell you if that is the case rather than leaving you waiting.

Can I contact an officer directly?

Enquiries are routed through the form so that each one has an owner and a record. This is deliberate: an enquiry that lands in a shared mailbox has no owner and no clock.

In which languages can I write to you?

English or French. Response times are the same in both.

Where is my information stored?

Enquiry data is held in the Commission’s customer relationship management system, which is hosted in the United States. The full notice is shown on the enquiry form and in the privacy statement.

The site has an error. How do I report it?

Use the enquiry form and describe the page and the problem. Content errors and broken links are corrected within five business days; a broken enquiry form or an accessibility blocker is treated as same-day.
