What we collect through this site, where it is stored, and how to ask what we hold about you.

What this statement covers

This statement covers information collected through this website by the Liberia Trade and Investment Canada.

Information you give us

When you use the enquiry form we collect your name, email address, organisation, country, and the content of your message. We use it to respond to your enquiry and to keep a record of the advice given. We do not sell it and we do not use it for marketing.

Where it is stored

Enquiry records are held in the Commission’s customer relationship management system, which is hosted in the United States. This means your information is subject to the laws of that country. We state this at the point of collection as well as here.

How long we keep it

12 months from the closure of your case. After that the record is deleted from the customer relationship management system and from case storage.

Access and correction

You can ask what we hold about you and ask us to correct it. Contact the Commission through the enquiry form and mark your message for the Build Officer.

Information collected automatically

To be completed once analytics and security logging are configured. This section will state exactly what is logged, for how long, and whether any of it is shared with a third party. If the answer changes, this page changes with it.

Prototype note. This statement is drafted to satisfy Canadian privacy expectations for a form that stores personal data outside Canada. It has not been reviewed by counsel. Two open items block it: the records retention policy, and the final analytics configuration.

Next step

To make an access or correction request, contact the Commission and mark your message for the IT Consultant.
